Encouraging women to walk in their god-given gifts and callings for his glory

As a young adult God called me to ministry. As a woman, I have spent decades discerning what that should look like both within the church and outside of the church. I truly believed that the ministry God had called me to, as a woman, must look different than my male counterparts. After many exhausting years of trying to shove myself into the box of "biblical womanhood," I finally began to learn that there was another way. I came across many, Jesus-following, bible-loving, scholars who viewed women in ministry differently - brothers and sisters who championed the full equality of women in all areas of ministry. I studied and prayed for years, eventually becoming fully confident in God's heart for His daughters as it relates to serving Him. This has been an intense, hard-wrought journey that I am still walking. I'm still learning and my hope is to bring other women alongside of me in this journey - encouraging and empowering them to serve God with abandon - whatever that may look like!

I Believe

The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
      who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
      and born of the virgin Mary.
      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to hell.
      The third day he rose again from the dead.
      He ascended to heaven
      and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
      From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy catholic* church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and the life everlasting. Amen.

*that is, the true Christian church of all times and all places
